Life Mantra

I saw this photo on Toby Mac’s Facebook page this morning.

This photo reminds me of a philosophy I adapted for my life about 3 years ago. I never really put pen to paper to communicate it. But as you know, it’s not clear if it’s not written.

Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie…

(‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3a‬ MSG)

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie…

(‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3a‬ KJV)

Over time, I’ve realised nothing gives me joy like when people are happy just because of an effort, a word or an opportunity that I was able to share. It delights me to see an avenue where I can nudge people to attains height and make waves that they never thought possible; So much joy it makes me wanna drop a tear. I don’t think anyone should remain the same after a close encounter with another human being. You’ve just gotta be a better person! Impact is important, no matter how little. My life should definitely be built around achieving this, I’m so convinced!

So! Let’s document this mantra briefly.

I live a life that impacts the guy next door positively; the lady down the street is grateful that our paths crossed;

I live for the day when generations yet unborn will reap the rewards of my little albeit, mighty efforts, yielding benefits that have been passed on from their forefathers;

I long to see men on earth give glory to God above for sending me their way.

I give hope to the hopeless, and strength to the weak, by my dozes of kindness which I call “Awesomeness”

I am the definition of love – no holds barred. I am love made real and simple.

So help me God.
