2015 – What can I say?

2015 – What can I say?

bants, shenanigans
This post almost did not happen. I've been thinking about this post since November. What will my 2015 year-in-review post contain? I thought of 15 spectacular things that happened in 2015 and I could not even wrap my head around one. Not like there aren't any, but none really struck me this year, to be honest. At times, I feel like the year just passed through me and I couldn't pause, relish and appreciate the seemingly good times and memories. In fact I think I went through the year with some high level of indifference to many things. Today, I sit here in an empty apartment, cleaning in preparation for moving and chatting away. This phrase kept coming to me. That awkward moment when all you literally have to say is "Thank…

Vegas Baby! Howdy? Ah! Happy New year to you for clicking this post o. I kinda appreciate it. It makes me feel you wanna hear my ramble. It's a good year to be alive. I'm grateful to God for this year and for some reason, there's a good feeling this year ushered in. It's not the cliche feeling of new year o. Nah! I remember this time last year. Last Year New year. Damn! Gosh! No good feeling at all at all that last year. I spent Christmas and New Year ALONE in Lagos! Just because I was feeling a little underachieved. I can categorically tell you last year started rough. I knew it right from the beginning. This time last year, I thought it couldn't get any worse but…

W40 / W41 Shenanigans – Sallah Holiday

shenanigans
So its was a really long weekend and well deserved break. From a full weekend of partying to arriving Nigeria to resuming work in 24hours, it has been real. I was literally dozing at work from Wednesday till Friday - like head-on-the-table kinda sleep. Thank God for public holidays though. On Saturday, I slept all through like a baby, I even turned down a friend who thought it nice to come say Hi. Saturday night, Olatomi called me for a hangout on Sunday and I was so open to anything. Sunday Church ended by 12pm and Olatomi came to pick me for the day (as she had her sister's Kia to herself for the week. Hehe!). #TasteOffLagos We started off at Freedom park for the #TasteOffLagos event. It was n…

W26 Shenanigans – Such an eventful week!

Hey Hey People! Welcome back, It's been a really really long while (in my head) apparently, it's been a week and a day since my last post - kinda long too. Anyway, this post is about last week, which was such a roller coaster week. UP So, the week started as usual with work and play. On Tuesday, while wasting my break time on Instagram, I stumbled on a post by "@sofreshmarketng" - a neighbourhood market in Ikoyi. They stock and share healthy food stuffs - nuts, fruits, oils, seeds etc. As a "treehugger" I had always admired their products and purchased their oils and nuts a couple of times, but I always wanted their heavenly cups of smoothies which are quite pricey (#800 at least). So they posted a…
